Chris Mycoskie serves as the assistant commissioner for television and electronic media after originally joining the conference in March 2011 as the director of television and electronic media. He oversees the conference’s broadcasting efforts in traditional and new media platforms.
Mycoskie has a strong background in television production, on-air game announcing duties, and has served as a sports news anchor and reporter at numerous television stations. In his Southland role, he acts as executive producer for all league productions on ESPN3, CBS Sports Network and the American Sports Network. He labors to improve production quality and ultimately ensure the broadcasts serve the needs of member institutions.
Additionally, Mycoskie works to develop other television broadcast opportunities for the league, and oversees the conference’s video streaming efforts through the Southland Conference Digital Network.
He appears on-air as a sideline reporter for Southland football games, halftime show host for basketball broadcasts and play-by-play announcer for various championships.
